Orbell Ovaness is professionally recognized as a leader in his niche of real estate, focusing on high-street retail, grocery-anchored shopping centers, single tenant net lease and complex mixed-use developments.
Orbell has built a team of seasoned advisors to navigate clients through the strategic acquisition; disposition; and re-positioning of retail and mixed-use real estate properties throughout Los Angeles, Southern California, and Major MSA’s throughout the U.S.
Throughout his successful 22-year career, Orbell has exclusively listed and sold over $1.3 Billion worth of real estate transactions - a testament of his command in business relationships, financial analysis and underwriting. Working with some of the world’s most visible high net worth families, REIT’s and institutional companies, Orbell offers invaluable insight on current market trends to his national and international clients alike. The evolution of his career has taken him from small-brand to prestigious corporate firms, shaping his unique and undoubtedly accomplished take on the make-up of commercial real estate. Following his 8-year tenure as Executive Vice President of BRC Advisors, Inc., Orbell, in 2016, was named First Vice President of CBRE, Inc. Shortly thereafter, in 2017, Orbell became the number one retail investment sales broker for CBRE’s Beverly Hills office, ranking him in the top ten of investment sales advisors for all of CBRE’s Southern California region.
Orbell began his real estate career with Marcus & Millichap in 2003 as an Investment Associate; 17-years later he is the First Vice President of the very firm that started it all.
Orbell’s graduate studies at California State University, Northridge included Business Management Information Systems with a strong emphasis in Real Estate. A philanthropist and an entrepreneur, Orbell is a leader within his community and an active member of various professional organizations including the International Council of Shopping Centers.

ARA H. ROSTAMIAN, MRED

Ara H. Rostamian, Vice President, Marcus & Millichap, Downtown Los Angeles, is known in the industry as expertly focused on single tenant net leased product as well as ground up development and re-development of retail throughout Southern California and the Western States. In 2019 Ara joined Marcus & Millichap and co-founded the Ovaness-Rostamian Group, advising clients in the strategic acquisition, disposition and re-positioning of retail real estate properties throughout Los Angeles, Southern California, and Major MSA’s throughout the U.S.
Over the last 16 years Ara has exclusively listed and sold over $700 Million worth of real estate transactions throughout the U.S. Prior to founding the Ovaness-Rostamian Group, he worked with SRS Real Estate Partners as Vice President of the National Net Lease Group transacting over $64 million in retail deals. Prior to SRS Ara worked with Strategic Development Advisors where he was directly involved in over $115 million worth of retail investment transactions and over $30 million in retail development sites which he sourced for developer clients equating to over $60 million in retail development project values. With an extensive background in valuation and retail development, he is particularly adept at sourcing retail opportunities with value-add potential for redevelopment or repositioning. Ara brings his intimate insight with expanding retailers, firsthand ownership and development experience coupled with his recognition in the industry as an investment expert to help his clients achieve their goals. As a result of his effect on his network he has been invited to several speaking engagements on various panels regarding retail investment and development trends.
Ara has a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) degree from the University of Southern California (USC) and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in real estate from California State University Northridge (CSUN). He has been closely involved with USC’s alumni real estate network at times sitting on the board of the AREN. He is member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Urban Land Institute (ULI), USC Price Real Estate Affiliates and USC Alumni Real Estate Network.
